There’s a fine line between being productive and being obsessive and manic. On the other hand, there’s a wide gray area where there’s nothing but TV, room-temperature pizza, and time that goes by measured only by the increasing softness of my belly. But if I have something to do, something to study, something to explore and build and learn every detail of, oddly, I get more done across my life. You know, like how an ATX power supply won’t turn on unless there’s a 10 ohm load across the 5v? This blog chronicles the attention grabbed along life’s margins. Oh, and the name wylbur? It refers to the operating system where I learned to program. It has nothing to do with any pig.
I’m impressed with the care you’re giving to all the fine details. I’d like to put a link to your work in my website, evapotrons.info, along with whatever you’d like to say about it.
hi Ember! I built one of your wind-powered ones last year, and that really got me thinking about this stuff. It’s a real honor to see you visiting. I’m going to post a ton of videos of the various pieces over the next few days. Great to see you here.
My camp could definitely benefit from this! Any chance you can post a parts list? A general how to including details on assembly would be amazing as well!

hi Shurafa, sure, I’m starting to think about BM again roughly now. I needed a LONG rest away from it. You don’t want to build what we did, you want to do it better. Keep nudging me, and I’ll get you more thoughts.
Hi!
I wanted to build a solar powered evapatron for this years burning man and I had a few questions for whoever built the one I’m seeing right here! To whoever who built this thing, I want to get in touch with you because I have a lot of questions about your design…
Hope to hear from you!
Justin.
Hi Justin, sure, I’d be happy to tell you more. We’re changing a little bit — basically we’re going to run the pumps directly from a 12v power supply plugged into a generator. No Arduino, and no home-brew charging system. We’re doing a bunch of building this weekend, so I’ll take photos and post more. Good luck!
